HAMPTONS, NEW YORK

Our client's Amagansett home needed updating – the existing finishes were dated and felt more appropriate for a country cottage than a relaxing beachy summer home. We redesigned the home's kitchen and bathrooms. We designed a multipurpose basement, guestroom, and home office and updated the existing finishes, fixtures, furniture, and lighting throughout two design phases.

We took inspiration from the home's location and our client's design-centered profession. We brought in playful ideas, colors, and layered materials -- at once both Mediterranean influenced in the Primary bathroom (which features hand-trowled plaster, travertine, and pebbled flooring), a fun and refreshing mix of colors like baby blue, terra cotta, and lemon yellow. In addition, the home features a joyful mix of 1970s furnishings and deadstock Italian plumbing fittings, pieces by local New York designers, and custom cabinetry and play shapes designed by White Arrow.

This project was featured in Domino magazine and AD Clever.
