In our client’s historic farmhouse, their dated kitchen has now been transformed into a light-filled and well-appointed heart of their home. We reworked the room’s floor plan and layout, incorporated plenty of storage, and added windows to bring in the light. Custom cupboards open to reveal pull-out drawers, a large-scale pantry, a coffee bar, and dedicated cubbies for hiding appliances. Beautiful marble floating shelves and British tapware elevate the room and surfaces to remain free of clutter.
In the alcove, next to the back porch, we created a custom breakfast banquet with dark blue leather upholstered cushions. Block-printed floral-patterned shades connect to the large island in the adjacent room. We love how comfortable the room feels; perfect for a family with three small children.
