Throughout our client's Penthouse at Quay Tower, we celebrated the iconic city views while developing a visual connection to the expansive vista of both sky and water.

We created a sense of calm through a harmonious mix of warm, neutral tones, and natural, tactile materials. We used a pared-back palette of cream textured wall plaster, handwoven wallpaper, leather, linen, boucle, and white oak, in a mix of classic silhouettes with subtle detailing and refined proportions.

The ceilings were lowered throughout to accommodate a new array of layered lighting—including unusual sconces, alabaster and handblown-glass pendant lights, and a mix of artful table lamps. We also brought in innovative technology to conceal a variety of creature comforts, such as a discreet sound system hidden beneath walls, TVs that double as artwork, and motorized shades.

Our goal was to create a well-appointed residence that was quietly comfortable and “down to earth." To achieve a collected feel, we sourced antiques and commissioned pieces by contemporary and independent Brooklyn designers, and worked alongside local artisans to develop custom White Arrow-designed furniture and millwork. Each piece is tailored to the home—all just the right size, shape, and material.
