RATS Pop Up
RATS, named after New York’s nocturnal mascot, was a Berlin pop-up shop conceived and executed over a summer in 2013. Art director Gabriel Kuo and White Arrow designed and outfitted a gallery space, sourcing work by artists we love and building out a space with playful nods to Greek classicism tempered by a bit of Bauhaus severity.
We carried innovative American jewelry and product designers, along with avant-garde musicians and authors. Labels included Ladies and Gentleman Studio, Fort Standard, Fredericks and Mae, Samma and Minimal Wave Records. We hosted opening and closing parties, an art show and auction, and were featured in publications and blogs such as T Magazine, Cool Hunting and SightUnseen.
